Children Relief implemented the installation of a 10 kV solar power system at a school in Oruzgan Province to provide a reliable and sustainable source of electricity. The initiative aimed to ensure uninterrupted power supply for classrooms, lighting, and basic facilities, improving the overall learning environment for students and staff.

Scope of Work

• Supply and installation of a 10 kV solar energy system with full operational capacity.

• Connection of solar power to classrooms, offices, and essential school facilities.

• Training provided to school staff for basic maintenance and system operation.

Impact

The project significantly enhanced the quality of education by providing consistent electricity for lighting, fans, and educational equipment. With this installation, the Oruzgan School became less dependent on unreliable grid power and diesel generators, moving towards a more sustainable and cost-effective solution.
